Name: Essur

Sub-Species: Coral
Appearance: Essur is a sly looking man with warm brown skin and short-cropped black hair. Though he's well built, he is far more well-noted for his odd predilection towards including portions of the creatures that he has mastered mimicking into his appearance. He might possess slitted eyes or a ringed tail in addition to his human features, though often as not, he will incorporate enough animal features that he barely resembles his original serpentine or humanoid forms. A favourite combination includes a solid, ursine build combined with the dexterity of a coati, though he never seems to settle for more than a day or two on any combination. His interest in shape-changing is unusual for an Encantado, though there are a small subset who focus on building their repertoire of animals and creatures to mimic. Essur is simply the best at what he does.
Notes: Essur is as sly as he looks, often employing less kind means to subdue potential partners. He has a small following of Encantado who look up to him, as he is also known to be a rowdy partier who joins the fray and tends to take over with his strong personality. Essur rarely takes 'no' for an answer, making him difficult to get along with. He is fairly self-involved and often sees people's reactions as a reason to continue testing and prodding to get the best kind of attention. He usually doesn't keep human guests for more than a night or two -- just as he is a bit fickle with his own appearance, his tastes in partner change, and he's usually rough with those he takes. Essur's followers generally take to partners he has since abandoned, though competition among them is fierce. Leila is his first and most powerful protege.

Appearance: In human form, Jaci is an extremely large and well-muscled man with warm brown skin and black hair. He has several long scars across his left arm and chest, and a warm smile.
Notes: Jaci is a congenial man who loves to talk and sing, and prefers the drums as his main instrument -- something with a good beat to accompany his voice. While he serves as a guard on the rare occasion that one is needed, he is also poetic and, as far as Encantado go, careful with his human guests. His unofficial partner is Ubira, and the two are more or less inseparable over the course of their day to day lives.

Name: Iara
Gender: Female
Sub-Species: Boto
Appearance: Iara is a petite young woman just coming into adulthood, having celebrated her maturity not a few months ago. She sports a tumble of wavy black hair over a cute, heart-shaped face. Her skin is richly warm, and her eyes are an enchanting hazel colour. Even in dolphin form she is a little darker than most of her kind, and is also much smaller.
Notes: Iara is an impertinent young woman who is often overeager to assert her independence, which can come across as blunt rudeness. She is exuberant about life, and having recently graduated from youth to adulthood, she is extremely interested in exploring what has been denied her. She's well enough versed in sex and seduction, but only through academic instruction. Jaci is something of a father figure to her, though her true parentage is unknown, having been delivered to the river by an unknown mother some years ago.

Appearance: A jagged looking woman with short-cropped black hair, her coral Encantado heritage is evident in the red and yellow streak that arcs from her temple across her scalp. She is muscular but lanky, retaining a bit of her sinuous form when shifted as a human.
Notes: Leila is a sharp-minded individual who is always seeking to outdo those around her. She loves to treat humans as work animals when it comes to sex: either they do as she wills or they'll be punished for it. Leila's reputation among other Encantado is not necessarily a good one: while most wish to pursue innocuous pairings, she tends to take and use without much thought for feelings. She has a knack for transforming into other creatures, though her talent is not so far refined as to allow her to change into more than one creature at a time. Leila uses many tools, enjoying finding new uses for what's on hand in terms of setting up a musical rhythm -- or to fuck around with her victims. Leila is the leader of a small pack of Encantado who are seen by others to be a rowdy lot, though she, like her group, all look up to their mentor or role-model, Essur.

Gender: Male
Sub-Species: Boto
Appearance: Ubira is a tall, lithe, dark-skinned man with a curly mess of black ringlets and dark, narrow eyes. He possesses several faint scars across his chest, most of them likely from puncture wounds. He also has several tattoos that blend into one another across his back, the designs being derived from the organic shapes of aquatic plant life.
Notes: Ubira is a quiet fellow who prefers to express himself using stringed instruments, coaxing haunting tunes out of those he gets his hands on more often then he urges merry music. He's sensitive in nature, but is also a strong fighter, and serves as a guard whenever he's needed. He's rather inseparable from Jaci, and the two spent much of their mundane time together.
